ReRoll is mapping the world with drones for you to play

4:45 PM on 02.04.2014

Yeah. Wait. What? ReROLL's ultimate aim is to map the entire world (that is, planet Earth) using autonomous drones in order to make an enormous videogame map. This will be done over long periods of time and in sections, of course. Apparently they can't even start on the United States until drone regulations are hammered out next year, so the first bit of game, "Brick 1" will not take place in the US.

You need to eat, rest, and exercise to manage your character, whether you settle down or roam the world as a nomad. You can catch some interesting prototype footage in the video of someone driving a snow mobile searching for useful things in the environment.

There's a whole bunch of explanations of this game's crazy plans over at its website, including funding plans, alpha and beta plans, and more. Quite the wild project this is.

Race the Sun coming cross-buy to PS3, PS4, Vita

Race the Sun is on its way to PS3, PS4, and Vita this summer. It will be cross-buy and cross-save, meaning you buy it once and can access it on all three and, if you have a Vita, you can take your saves on the go because of Transfarring. I miss Transfarring. Race the Sun? More like Race the Fun.more
