Reminder: Win Champions Online by being semi-heroic photo

Destructoid just keeps on giving! Today we have five copies of Champions Online for the PC to give away to five lucky winners. These copies are the exclusive Wal-Mart Limited Edition packages so along with the game, you’ll be getting a collectible lenticular cover, exclusive zone map, iron-on decal and ten in-game micro-transaction dollars.

What do you have to do to win? Simple. Just take a picture of yourself doing something semi-heroic. Here’s an example of what I’m looking for: Is that pickle jar giving your mom a bad time? Is that evil jar inflicting pain on your beloved mother?! Then it’s up to you to save the day and open that pickle jar for her! Letting your dog out to pee, helping someone cross the street -- things along that line. The photo has to be real and you can Photoshop yourself into scenarios. If you have a question, just ask in the comments. Bonus points if you dress up!

All entries need to go in the comments below (make sure they’re 620px wide!) The contest runs until September 29 and is open to everyone. Good luck!

I have it and I'm a big COH/V player since that launched. Champions Online is NOT worth the time or effort to enter this contest. I've already cancelled it once my free month runs out. The game is just one big fucking mess and isn't a big step forward from COH/V except for the graphics and even that is a problem because it doesn't scale well on various machines. I really am let down by this release as I was looking forward to it for ages. Fuck this game...don't waste your money or time on it.

My country don't have a zip code.And I still don't receive the prize I get a few months ago.So,the last time I won a contest,I just use the Singapore address where my friend is currently living and he get it within a week and he'll bring'em to me when he come back.I think it's better than losing'em in the process.

:} Lol'd at this. I'm an avid CoH player too, lahv MMOS<3 but recently switched to fps.

Forreal, when you play a game for so long you expect it to be exactly the same.

I'll garuntee if you hadn't played CoH, you'd like CO.

It's just what you're used to.

I have a copy of champions, but I really want the exclusive stuff that's on the walmart copy. :D

Well personally I think there's a little more to it than just putting a seat down, but I respect Bubamacko for getting it in first.

And now, onto the adventures of: TMNT-beach-towel-boy!!!.
In this episode our hero goes over a couple other steps in proper toilet maintenance.

[Basically just more proof of my free time.

I'm playing CO right now and it's pretty good... it's not as big as WoW, but it's still fun to play and it looks great. I played CoH and I hated the massive amount of instanced missions (pretty much all of them). Champions has lots of missions out in the zones and is very solo friendly.

If you're expecting some revolutionary gameplay innovations to the MMO genre, you'll be disappointed... It's basically WoW-type gameplay with a superhero theme. But, it has enough unique features to make it worth trying if you're looking for a more accessible CoH. It's definitely not a waste of time to at least try out for free (by winning this contest).

For me, this is less about winning the contest and more about finally getting recognition for the hero I am. I hope you like low quality pictures!

1) Waking up in the morning. If that's not a herculean challenge, I don't know what is.


2) Striking a pose. Feel free to bask in my heroism and don't be afraid to weep.


3) Laying the hurt on Genghis Kahn to save some blind orphans. No biggie. It's just a shame I couldn't get him on camera.


4) Waging the war on plaque and tartar, setting an example for the kids and ensuring those pearly whites outshine the sun.


5) And finally, I baked you some cookies, internet. Enjoy.
