Reminder: Enemy Front out next week, it's actually decent

11:00 AM on 06.07.2014

Pretty sure I'm the only person in this industry that's talking up Enemy Front. Is it going to be a mindblowing revolutionary first-person shooter? No, not really. Is it going to be pretty fun? Yeah, I think so at least.

But it's understandable people aren't paying attention here at all. It's another FPS set in World War II. It doesn't help that this game is coming out on June 10 either, you know, E3 week. But hey, if you've been missing out on the WWII settings and are looking for a game that's not just another Call of Duty clone in the genre, you won't go wrong with Enemy Front.

Plus there's multiplayer! I have no idea how that aspect feels, but I wouldn't be surprised if it'll become impossible to find matches online with anyone after a month. Well the console versions anyway.

Enemy Front trailer collects the war stories from around Europe

Several years ago, it felt like every first-person shooter was set during World War II, and the saturation really started to turn people off to the genre. Then, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare came along, and changed everythi...more

Get a taste of Enemy Front's stealth combat

Enemy Front is the upcoming World War II shooter that feels a whole lot like Far Cry 3. That's a good thing! For one, it's nice to go back to a World War II shooter. It's even nicer when it's just not a straight up mindless ...more

Enemy Front is a fresh approach to World War II shooters

Back in 2011 CI Games announced Enemy Front, a World War II shooter that was being worked on by Stuart Black who was the guy responsible for Black. It's funny how over-hyped that game was looking back. Anyway, Black left at s...more

Nisha the Lawbringer whips it good in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel

I got to spend a little time with Nisha the Lawbringer from Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and yippee ki-yay is she a fun character. Nisha brings Old West sensibilities to this moon shooter, and a few new tricks as well. And a bullwhip.more

Destiny had the 'largest console beta ever' for a new IP

Did you get in on the Destiny beta? I did, but only after access was opened to all. Managed to play for about an hour which, after the cut scenes and loading, wasn't enough time for me to get a true sense of how I feel about ...more

Video: Much of Advanced Warfare's plot revealed by trailer, and I think I smell a beta coming

A campaign trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare came out which goes over some of the plot points. I also speculate on some rather obvious, yet still uncertain, plot developments to come. The trailer also announced a multiplayer reveal coming August 11, which I theorize could come with a beta announcement.more
