$150 IS ludicrous. First off, it costs the average American $300 round trip to fly to California in any given area outside of the vicinity.
Then you have to find a hotel!

I don't understand the draw. $150? Absurd. It's only one company, and they release a game about once every 5 years. It's already been 12 years for Star Craft 2, and they're only now gearing up to release one third of the game. Given how much Blizzard has shat on their fans with the cutting games into thirds, threatening to charge for battle.net and eliminating Lan play from Star Craft, why do the fans not only put up with it, but even pay $150 in order to hear what kick to the balls Blizzard is going to deliver next?

I'm going to E3 - why not go to Blizzcon? I'm a huge fan of World of Warcraft, and Diablo, which I'm sure will be plenty playable there.
But $150 on top of the other costs means I'm out. That's a discount plane ticket.

Google some info on last year's ticket sales - it wasn't "one minute sellout" conditions - it was 28 minutes.

If you're a HUGE and I mean HUGE WoW nerd, then it's worth it. I went to Blizzcon last year and not only the whole convention, but the surrounding area is just turned into WoWtard City for the weekend. The convention itself was just okay though, crazy lines and packed hallways. It was all the parties, gatherings, and just general atmosphere of Anaheim that made it so cool.
Basically: Spend the money if you want to go to a beautiful place where there are no trolls and everyone can drink and be merry for a few days.

The tickets sold out quick, so I wont be going, again. Wish I could. Blizzcon is the shit and I'm not even a huge fan.
