What's Remedy up to now that Alan Wake is done and out? How about a new "AAA console title" next?
There's a job listing on the Remedy website looking for a Senior Producer for a key position in this AAA console project. They are looking for someone that has shipped another AAA console title in a similar role, and require the applicant to move to Finland.
The job ad doesn't give us anything else to go on, so we're going to guess that it's an Alan Wake sequel. A new Max Payne? A new IP? A new bowling game for PlayStation Move?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
This game took 5 years to make?? Them Why were people bitching about Gran Turismo 5 taking long before? Anyways
@AdamantiumHip
I don't think that if they were working on Alan Wake 2, it wouldn't take another couple years, They already have the graphics engine... Unless they remake the graphics or something.
*cough* Fanboy Alert *cough* Heavy Rain did better than Alan Wake. And Gran Turismo PSP is the only average reviewed Gran Turismo game.
There were lots of people making fun of Alan Wake, it was even accused of being vapourware more than once. People didn't bitch because, as a new franchise, people didn't know whether it'd be good. So with GT5 people were upset that they were being denied what is almost sure to be an amazing game, but with Alan Wake, it's just another game delayed a million times.
People made fun of Alan Wake and called it vaporware time and time again.
Also, Alan Wake doesn't have name recognition like Gran Turismo since it's a new IP, so it won't catch quite as much heat.
And lastly, Remedy has 44 internal developers in-house, which is quite a small team when building an entirely new next-generation engine and also a new IP at the same time.

Anyways, all you mofo's need to buy Alan Wake ASAP. Support awesome, new IP's, people!
I'm just fucking with you.
But seriously, Remedy forget about gaming on the PC, as did most folks.
Oh, I'm kidding again...
or am I?
People had doubts about Alan Wake? New IPs have been a success lately. New IPs like LBP, Borderlands, and Heavy Rain.
As an early supporter of Heavy Rain since its first 'Casting' tech demo, I can say without a doubt Heavy Rain also got beat up for its development time. Also for its quick-time event focused gameplay. It was also called 'vaporware' many times during its long development cycle.
I repeat, Take 2 bought the IP Max Payne from Remedy. That's part of why they had enough money to fund development of Alan Wake for so long.
Anyway, yeah, probably a new IP. Hopefully it's at least multiplat this time around.
