Relive Shadow of the Colossus with exhaustive art collection photo

I know that E3 is right around the corner and that we all have stars in our eyes for the next wave of games. We like our games bigger, faster, and perpetually shinier, and it drives the industry. Of particular interest is Fumito Ueda's latest project, as of now called Trico. That's nice and all, but there's nothing wrong with a little retrospection. Right?

Why not take some time to think about the beautiful Shadow of the Colossus--Ueda's previous project--while we wait for more Trico information, hopefully in the guise of an E3 announcement?

So, to that end, I'd like to direct you to a Shadow of the Colossus artdump that's being hosted on Picasa by someone named "Nate." The collection includes scans of the Official Art Book, manuals, and box art, as well as hi-res wallpapers, screenshots, concept art (back when it was called Nico), the viral marketing campaign, and footage from various DVDs. As if that wasn't SotC overload, there are also scans of a fan-made trading card game and a tribute to Ico.

Do yourselves a favor -- browse through Nate's collection, watch some footage, revel in the gorgeous concept art and get lost in the Forbidden Land all over again. I promise, it will make waiting for Trico that much better.

Ugh, I'm dying for information on Trico. I hope that it doesn't turn out like that leaked video. I was hoping for something completely different from Team Ico. Ico and SotC were so completely different from each other, Trico looks just like a mix of the two games.

Those screenshots make me want to cry. Looking at how amazing it is at those ridiculouly high resolutions, when on the PS2 it looks so jaggy. I don't care about the next Team Ico game, just rerelease Shadow on the PS3 without changing anything save the display resolution and I'll be more than thrilled.

Hi everyone! This is Nate Daniel, the guy behind the big gallery. I'm really glad you all enjoy it, and I hope to be making a gallery for the third game in the future.

If anyone's interested, I'm also the admin of a new wiki about Ico, SotC, and Trico. It's at teamico.wikia.com - drop by and see what we've got so far!

SotC was okay, not THAT great, but great nonetheless. What I really didn't like about the game was the lack of people. Seriously, there's just and your horse and the lack of background music just made the setting and atmosphere so...weird.
