As I'm sure you all heard, reports that Fallout 3's The Pitt add-on was plagued with graphical glitches and other weirdness made the rounds recently, and everyone made a huge deal out it. While it's perfectly acceptable to demand excellence, I think a few people went a little overboard. But, this is the Internet we're talking about, after all.
Long story short, if you downloaded the corrupt version of The Pitt, you'll need to erase the file and downloaded the clean one (which is now available) from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. If you're unsure how to do that, here's a simple set of instructions:
- Sign in to Xbox LIVE then press the guide button
- Go to Settings->System Settings->Memory.
- From here, scroll down to Fallout 3 and press A.
- Select Fallout 3: The Pitt (Marketplace Content) press A then choose Delete, then Yes to Delete
Even though I've posted about
The Pitt here on Destructoid more times than I care to admit, I didn't even get around to downloading the content. No, it wasn't because I heard that some people were experiencing issues with it, but rather it was due to GDC and all of the madness it brings. I guess I lucked out, huh?
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied:
"bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
hopefully i can MacGyver my wii and 360 to download missing updates/patches/etc
It didn't affect me though. The PC version of the Pitt was smooth. I had zero issues and so for the content is really awesome. The auto axe isn't as good as I was expecting it to be though.
Oh, the depression!

And I am excited to play this. Though I'm really just waiting for "Broken Steel".
I un-installed Fallout 3, and the x-pac, then went to re-install, fallout 3 installed perfectly (steam rocks) byt microsoft live says that i allready downloaded it, and fallout 3 is not detecting any .esm(or whatever) file, and i did a search for anchorage.esm, and specified to searcvh for hidden files and folders (after doing some reading i found out that M$ decided to install the expansion to a hidden directory on your system) and i found nothing........
not buying anything else thats from microsoft live...steam rocks though, they at least let you make backs up of what you paid for in case you need to OSRI.
im hopeing this add-on will work for me
