Everybody's favorite meat ambassador, Reggie Fils-Aime, has spoken about the future of the Nintendo Wii in an interview with Reuters, quelling rumors that Nintendo is already whipping up a console to take the Wii's place on the throne: We believe the role of a new console, a new system, is to bring great new entertainment ideas to life. We launched (the Wii and DS) those systems when we had great ideas that would benefit either from a touch screen or from a Wii remote. Fils-Aime went on to say that Nintendo would consider the launch of a new console when they had "great new entertaining ideas that can only be done with a new console." Of course, anyone with a half a brain about the way the industry works can guess that something stinks here; any successful organization is always planning towards the future.
