As Darth Vader once said: NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
OK, well maybe I'm being a little too emotional, but it seems that after so many years of pure comedy gold the boys over at Rooster Teeth are pulling the plug on THE BEST machinima out there: Red vs Blue. If you've never seen this series, then I highly encourage you to do so right this very second. Here's the bad news straight from their forum:
April 1st is a special day for us here at RoosterTeeth, as it marks the anniversary of the first Red vs Blue episode we ever posted, way back in 2003. We always want to pause on occasions such as this to thank all of you for supporting RvB over the years. We try to say it as often as we can; the people of this community do so much for us by keeping us inspired and motivated to create every day. And the sponsors especially deserve our gratitude by supporting us in (if I may borrow a phrase) "a rent and food" kind of way. It's hard to believe that today marks four years of producing the series and with this week's release, we are 6 episodes from Episode 100. It seems like just yesterday that we started working on what we thought was going to be a mini-series that was intended to run six episodes in total.
Producing RvB and getting to know the people who watch it have been two of the greatest joys of my life. That's why we wanted to let you all know first that Episode 100 is going to be the last installment of The Blood Gulch Chronicles. One hundred is a great number, and it seems like the perfect place to call it a show. I am sure you have some questions about our plans for the series and beyond. We will be talking about all of that in the weeks and months to come, but I want to use this time to thank all of you for nearly half a decade of support. For now, it's back to work. From the recent developments in the storyline, you may have noticed some loose ends coming together and we have a lot to wrap up in the last seven videos. We hope you will love them as much as the first seven or the middle seven or whatever it was that initially drew you to the world of Red vs Blue.
Sad pandas for everyone.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
If not... There's still halogrid :)
Sorry in advance for the spelling errors, I really don't care to fix anything at the moment.
Loads fine for me.
As the great Rambo once said, "Fuck em'"
And yeah, it was posted on April 1st, so I'd take that as an april fool's until it actually ends.
At least that's what the superior pirated version said. :)
So how do you get to the first episodes? I don't see any way of getting to ones older than the 5th season.
Yes it was posted on April fools, but also RvB was started on April 1st, I forget the year.
And they also mentioned the closing in the recent news post. So if it was an April fools joke, then why are they still bringing it up?
Strangerhood (their Sims machinima) can't supplement the loss of RVB.
Want to know how damn smart they are? Members such as myself pay $20/year just to have full featured posting over there. Take into account the staggering number of members there, and you can appreciate how successful they truly are. I must say, that it is a bit crowded over there. Still, it rocks. Not Destructoid rocks, but it rocks nonetheless.

Now tell me about RVB going somewhere? No Friggin Way.
Anyway, I never really got into this series. They were sometimes kind of funny, but I think the whole machinema genre is just lame.
Now I'd like to say I'm pretty sure they didn't start on April first, in fact I'm relatively positive.
You also need to look at what counts as when they started - they released a trailer for it, an intro... that they didn't' even use on the first DVD
As one of the original members (forum member 532... wooot... sad I remember that)... well when they used phpBB... anyway, as one of their original members I'm going to say that site's gone nowhere but downhill. Their new design is horrible, I absolutely loved their forums when it was in phpBB, we had a great community, but after they migrated to the new style every group of people absolutely got destroyed, I can't even find original members anymore we cheesed it. Rooster Teeth sold out - bottom line, not that I expected them to stay as cool as they were - but when I send a message to Griff and he pretends like I'm a fan I'm going to get a little offended, they forgot who they were
But after all I've said I'm positive it's an April fools joke.
100 Episodes? Seriously?
Got too weird after season 1, screw that noise. I still loved season one and two - three I lost track, I don't even know where they are now
