Red Faction: Armageddon cutscene and its motion capture

4:00 AM on 05.13.2011

In this video for Red Faction: Armageddon, we see a cinematic from the game set next to motion capture footage of the sequence. If you've played the demo, you'll recognize this as the scene which plays at the beginning. It's interesting to see a bit of the process, with all of the different takes in the small studio space comprising the whole of the scene.

Speaking of the Red Faction: Armageddon demo, I liked it. I can see why fans of the series would balk at a linear, plot-driven game but I don't have any particular attachment there. I figure, if you can make a good game, make a good game. Hopefully that's what they'll wind up with when the game releases in June.

South Park Pinball is the crossover you never knew you wanted

With Marvel, Star Wars, and The Walking Dead under their belts, there's no license too big for Zen Studios to take on at this point. This time around, Zen has teamed up with Comedy Central and put together two new tables themed after none other than South Park. I wasn't sure what to expect, but should have known the tables would be phenomenal.more
