Just want to be clear here to those saying the ME3 fans wanting a better ending are manbabies. I thought as much too thinking that they threw a tantrum for not getting a stupidly happy sunshine and rainbow unicorn farts ending. That is, until I actually beat the game.
A good ending does not necessarily have to be a happy ending. What I see as the take-away here is that we want an ending that isn't filled with retcons and plot holes of Phantom Menace proportions. It's really -that- -bad-.

The genius of this is that internet rants are a dime a dozen, and easy to ignore as someone blowing off steam. But giving it a physical form means someone thought this out and still took the time to protest.
I'm terrified of what would happen if Bioware caves and makes a new ending. It sets the precedent that if enough fans get together and troll a major studio successfully it means trolling = real life result...

It wasn't about the $60 obviously. It was about the fan feeling let down by pointless choices in a series known for choices mattering. Personally I think it was a very clever way to show discontent. Bravo sir!
I think this shows more about the immaturity of the people railing on the ME3 ending 'manbabies' than it does the 'manbabies' themselves. Seriously, it's an act of goodwill and a lighthearted joke. Ah well, what the fuck ever.

lol, I know I've been hitting the tips box hard lately (sorry about that), but somehow this one felt like the one that would take the cake (oh God, the puns).
Weirdest part is.. I found it on Blistered Thumbs of all places.. Rarely do they ever have a story before I've seen it on other sites (or solid news at all, they're a bit flaky over there).
Any way, I like the bit in there where BioWare was like "yeah, want to troll us like this? Bring it on. Free treats for us!" Not sure if it supposed to be positive reinforcement to get a change to the endings but.. idk.. Some kids got some cupcakes out of it.
Honestly wish that whenever someone got mad at something/someone for any reason, that the weapon of choice would be cupcakes.. World would be a far better place if things were like that.

In essense, Bioware opted for the death by Marauder Shields ending. The irony wasn't lost on me either.

So... what do you say Jim, should we start baking cupcakes for Konami? Maybe they will release a decent Silent Hill if we do.
Our cupcakes will be a remake of the Mass Effect cupcakes but we will take away the frosting because we want to show how beautiful our cupcakes look, except that they will be half backed and we ended up using other ingredients than the ones in the recipe.

Maybe I'm alone on this, but I think that they should just remove one of the choises, and have the rest be dependent on the level of the green galactic readyness bar. Fits in more with the meta layer of story that everyone seems very keen on not noticing from ME3.
