If I worked at BioWare I wouldn't eat anything anyone sent me. Who knows when some whack-a-doo would put arsenic in the cookie batter because he didn't like that one of Mordin's head-thingies was shorter than the other.
That is fucking halirous, pick one, they are all the same! Just like your ending bioware! I'm not for changing it, but I think bioware should be forced to do it in a misery-style fashion just to make up for trying to pass that ending off. I just don't get how they think that was an acceptable ending to this trilogy!? A sci fi epic, spanning 5 years, and hundreds of hours and countless choices, boiled down into your favorite color, just fucking mental.
The only good thing to come out of this is the money that went to the 'Full Paragon' program. Otherwise this is just as stupid as any other move to 'change' or let bioware know how much people are against the ending.
On another note Jim, I'm glad you are starting to look at the whole ME3 ending from both sides. It's not that so many people feel "entitled" (although there are some who do)it's just more relatable to the rushed ending of Little Shop of Horrors more so than the original sad ending.
Fallout 3 had a new ending via DLC. Bethesda didn't leave the internet, and they actually made more awesome games.

So, lemme get this straight: After all the bitching about paying 60-80$ for a product that didn't live up to their expectations, one fan decided to spend over 1000$ more, just to troll Bioware?

Imagine if there was poison in those cupcakes. A whole youth centre dead at the hands of some game developers.
This should end up being part of a new ending. The game suddenly stops and we get to watch shepard and all the others living or dead sit down and eat cupcakes for an hour will "You saved the universe! Yay!" on a rainbow banner in the sky.
I honestly don't see how anyone can view this whole drama and discussion surrounding ME3 as being bad. Sure, there are plenty of loud, annoying, aggressive, and rude internet trolls who give the whole thing a bad name. But when AREN'T there a group of loud, annoying, aggressive, and rude internet trolls giving something a bad name?
Even if you played ME3 and thought the endings and all of the plot holes, discontinuities, and lack of choice impact were a great way to end the series, why does this bother you so much? If you're satisfied then you're satisfied. If Bioware does release some ending DLC, you don't have to buy it or play it, your journey can end where it already has.
Personally, I obviously hope that I can get some further closure to my ME story. But even if I don't, I think the discussions that have been created between Bioware and the consumers is such a huge step in the dynamics of video game creation. That alone makes all of this worth it. Jim said this all so well in his previous article, and I'm so glad he wrote it. This is such a huge leap forward in progress for video games as a legitimate entertainment and art form, I am just constantly amazed there are so many people out there now who just want everyone to shut up and be happy with whatever Bioware/EA wants to give us.
Progress can never occur when people are complacent. Healthy discussions of how anything can be improved or added to is NEVER a bad thing.

In reality, all of the cupcakes should look the same, yet each of the colors of cupcake should represent a radically different future for the way cupcakes will be made.
This was cool. I can't help but think how delighted those kids must have been to receive those cupcakes. They love delicious treats and they love choosing their favorite color. It's nice to know all this ME3 bullshit made someone smile. :)

Love it. I think it's more bizarre that other people are spending so much time venting hatred at people who didn't care for the ending. Goes nowhere, proves nothing, and does no one any good.... as opposed to something hilarious like this.

If you get upset about this, you're an idiot. Plain and simple. This was a gesture of good faith, a handshake, a wink, a pat on the back. It was a way of saying "you're shit sucked, but we still love you so keep on keeping on." It was an apology that made a point. And most importantly, it was funny and a bunch of kids at a shelter ended up a shit ton of cupcakes. There's absolutely nothing negative to say about this unless you're just that kind of asshole who wants to see the bad in everything.
