Receiver, a first-person shooter with mechanics grounded in reality, is finally available on Steam for super cheap. You can temporarily pick it up for $3.99, 20% off its original price of $4.99. If you already own Receiver through purchase or pre-ordering Overgrowth, then you should have a key waiting for you on the Humble Bundle site.

Wolfire Games is absolutely brimming with talent, and Receiver is a strong example of some of the fantastic gameplay ideas they have. I love that it's a single idea extrapolated into a complete project that doesn't feel overbearing. They just had a cool idea, made a game in a week, and released it unto us plebs. Oh, and there's a super interesting postmortem of the game on their blog, which reveals a lot about Greenlight and how Receiver almost didn't end up on Steam at all.

If Capcom ever decides that they're done with Mega Man, someone will carry the torch. Whether it's tireless fan creators or the father of the Blue Bomber himself, the Mega Man community is one of the most passionate coll...more
