Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

Rodger Swan descided to make a trip out to Yokosuka to see if he could find any real world locations based off of Sega's Shenmue. Sure enough, he was able to locate several, including what looks like the path that leads to protagonist Ryo Hazuki's home. See if you can spot any other familiar locations.

Also Shenmue-related are some prank calls (viewable after the jump) that the guys over at Tapezilla have decided to inaugurate their new podcast with. They use voice clips of Ryo to call Terry’s Gold asking for Terry in the first call, resulting in a pretty funny conversation. The second call sees Ryo calling a Hong Kong Buffet asking for directions to Hong Kong. Unfortunately, no one there can help him.

There's also a call where they mess with a guy named Fred.  It's actually a little mean seeing as how he's only trying to sell his PS2. Still, I’ve got to commend the guy for being as patient as he was.

I like how they were being total pricks to that guy after he hung up, when it was clear that by the end, he was just saying whatever they wanted to hear just to put an end to the douche-baggery. That was awesome, only totally not.

Thanks for everyone's comments! Tapezilla has a new Shenmue prank call: "Harbor Punks Bother Frank" (http://www.tapezilla.net/prank-calls/shenmue-harbor-punks-bother-frank/). If you liked Ryo's call to Terry's Gold, you'll definitely like the conversation with Frank.
