It was a brilliant idea to take one of the most iconic moments in RE4 and represent it with an instantly-iconic art style like the low-res sprite. As much as I love the way RE4 looks, if I'm going to have a scene from the game hanging on my wall, I'd rather have it in 8-bit.
If you feel the same way, you better act fast, as this limited edition print is almost gone. As of the time of this writing, there are five left in the whole world. Even better, half the profits go to Child's Play, so you can feel like a good person while you pay tribute to one of the most righteous head-shots in history.
Maybe I'm still drunk off the Mega Man 10 news, but right now, I'd buy a remake of RE4 on the NES. Would you?
That is entirely awesome!
Now if I could only have every amazing piece of fantastic video game art I've seen on this website framed and hung on my walls I'd be ecstatic.
Well, for the Resident Evil series, it's the first time literally dozens of doods are giving you chase and your knowledge of how to fend off a group is close to none. Unless YOU knew what to do the first time you arrived at the scene.
to be honest i cant see why everyone likes RE4 that much, sure its good the first 3-5 hours, but the whole game starts to feel really repetitive after that, somehow the games manages to get worse the more you play it, ending in one of the most anti-climatic and ridiculously easy final boss fights ever
and now i have a new wallpaper. thanks for not writing all over the image, jonathan. also, if i were to find a nice print like this while out christmas shopping, i would pick it up in a second.
