Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 exclusive to Nintendo photo

This isn't the world's biggest shocker admittedly, since the original Rayman Raving Rabbids is thought of very much as a Wii title, with the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 2 versions mere afterthoughts, but the official line now is that the quirky game's sequel will be exclusive to Nintendo's Wii and DS platforms when it arrives. Ubisoft's Xavier Poix claimed that Raving Rabbids 2 simply "wouldn’t be as interesting without the Wii controls,” thus Nintendo's white box of waggle is now the exclusive home of the console sequel. As with last time, the DS interpretation will be a different game entirely.

Pretty much makes sense. People don't buy the other consoles to play endless minigame compilations. That, sadly, is what the Wii has now become known for. Fortunately, Raving Rabbids 2 is shaping up to at least be a rather good minigame compilation, so that's something. Get your waggle sticks ready for more lapin-focused quirkiness later this year.

I had the original on 360, it was great. Looks like I'll have to be saving up for a wii.

This could be even a soccer game (and I really hate soccer) and I would still buy it just because of the bunnies. :D
Can't wait to play "Raving Rabbids 2". If Ubisoft could just kick Rayman out of the title since he has almost nothing to do with it...

In this game you can be rabbits instead of just being Rayman I BELIEVE.

I'd like to see more done with the game's presentation; it felt like a complete afterthought compared to the minigames themselves. I guess the bunnies made up for that.

I didn't like the first one on wii just got boring quickly and i never found the rabbids funny.
Plus no widscreen, and limiting your distance from the TV when the IR pointer could infact be used from a further distance all made for a rather shitty experiance.

@ BlindsideDork:
I know. But I was thinking about the name of the game. Ubisoft should just call it "Raving Rabbids 2". The japanese name of the first game was just "Rabbids Party", without "Rayman" although he is still in the game, if I remember correctly.

flabzilla...anyone that can play the first Rabbids without at least having a little chuckle every now and then needs serious psychological help. It's a definite must-buy for the console.

I won't hesitate to pre-order this!!!

This seems like a captain obvious to me. I really enjoyed the first one, shooting plungers at bunnies reeks of awesomeness.

Part 1 was the only game I could play after Zelda. The only game that had more than 5 reasonably fun minigames to play with 2 players. Feels like 10 years ago...
