In a bizarre turn of events, Ubisoft has been fairly quiet about the actual release date and price of their 3DS iteration of Rayman Origins -- but that all changed as of today. Rayman Origins 3D will launch on June 5 at $29.99, presumably because Ubisoft knows people won't pay $40 for a game that's basically on every other platform known to man at this point.
Despite the fact that this is probably the worst version of the game based on the demo (which is available now), it's still pretty serviceable. If for some reason the 3DS is your only gaming option, I'd still recommend giving this version a try -- you shouldn't miss out on one of the best games of 2011.
