Castles and Wolfenstein go together like peanut butter and jelly or Ian Somerhalder and stupid teary-eyed stares. Could you imagine playing a Wolfenstein without having to stride through some sort of stony hallway clotted with occult villains or other various creepy crawlies? It’s a scary thought and question that we won’t have to ask Raven Software. The forthcoming Wolfenstein iteration has a castle. Consider this confirmation thanks to the trailer below the fold.
This afternoon, Activision dropped a fairly fresh environment-oriented trailer featuring the mighty Wolfenstein castle. It’s a short teaser that has no discernable point other than to prove that Raven hasn’t forgotten the face of the series’ father.
Not that we’re complaining or anything. Hit the break to see dark corners, plenty of gray blocks, and several of the game’s villains. Wolfenstein!
BTW, an inside source confirmed that all platform versions of this game have been forwarded to manufacturing and are currently in production for retail.

@TheStripe I hope that's not true. The Wolfenstein MP leaked beta was in really bad shape, and it was dated 22nd July 2009. Are you sure that's true? :/
It's definitely true, though they seem to be pleased with the MP. Maybe the date is wrong? I've heard the same thing from someone on the programming team and a playtester.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
