Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time gets pretty little patch photo

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time is good, but it's not perfect. That is, of course, why Insomniac just released a patch for the title which fixes a bunch of stuff you may or not have known was broken.

The update (1.20) fixes up a nasty bug that would mess up player's saved games, so if you fall into that category, rejoice. Other fixes include bugs like not being able to damage certain bosses, trophy-related snags, and more. While playing the game for review, I didn't run into any such bugs, but there's little doubt they did exist... because they're fixed now.

Insomniac has the full list of fixes on its Web site. If you held off picking up and playing A Crack in Time, wait no longer -- it's not broken anymore!

I love the secret code to restart challenge mode in the bug list.

Insomniac has always provided incredible after-purchase service to gamers. They are incredible!! It was the same with the Resistance series!

I had this since day 1 and I only got 17% of the way through it. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be.

So why do the people that buy games these days, have to be the bug testers too? That is unexceptable to me.

@BalloonFighter:

Because a handful of people cannot reasonably be expected to find every single bug in a blu-ray disk's worth of code by the game's release date.

I was one of the people who had the challenge mode bug that caused your save to only work for approx 30s then crash.

Too bad the patch only just came out, I already powered through the game 3 times for the platinum.

Now that they mention it. I haven't received the "Good Samaritan trophy". I totally agree with Elsa. I love them, very very much.

Small bugs happen all the time...but one that messes with your save? Jesus, how do you ship to retail with a bug like THAT not noticed?
Shouldn't that be the number one priority in bug testing? That a save doesn't get corrupted and lost?

How about the platforms that are a half-foot too short to reach without falling to your doom and retrying a hundred times over?

@Arkohn. That is not a good reason. They make the game to the scale of their choosing. If it is too much to handle then don't go so big. I have a feeling if game developers keep on releasing untested games sooner or later there will be a big problem that will piss alot of people off.This new way of business sucks.
