Playstation blog recently posted a full update on their Ratchet and Clank-related activities at Comic-Con, and I think fans of the series will be very pleased by what they are going to see. The four videos after the jump show off everything from the first footage of the gameplay from A Crack in Time to the brand new line of weapons the game will boast (called the Constructo line). There's going to be Ratchet and Clank toys too!

It's been a while since I've played a Ratchet and Clank title, but I think this one is going to reel me back into pure, sweet platforming addiction. The release date is still Fall 2009, with no specific date announced yet, but Insomniac's Community Manager Bryan Intihar says that a firmer date is on the way very soon. I hope "soon" means "within the week, because I want to get my hands on this! Keep an eye out for our hands on coverage with A Crack in Time coming very soon.

PS3 is finally getting the love it deserves. It still has the best 1st party lineup of any console.

is it just me or the R&C games are funnier than most dreamworks movies?

"More Clank gameplay in Crack in Time than any other title."

Anyone else not like this? The Clank parts, while not bad, are my least favorite parts of the games. The main appeal should be more and more hilarious weapons, not Clank with a stick.

That being said, the Clank parts in this look better than previous ones.

Watching these videos makes me want to play the other R&C game on PS3. Ive only heard good things about it, so I dont know why its taking me so long to play it.

@Magesx

I completely agree with you. It does look like they are going to switch things up a little bit with Clank and it looks fun, albeit not as fun as the usual gameplay.

Guaranteed pre-order. I don't care how much it costs.

Eh, I'm interested in the game (I've played through all of the games in the series except for Secret Agent Clank), but I don't really need gameplay videos. I know what I'm getting into with Ratchet.

It looks sort of funny, a little lame humor, but funny nonetheless?

Hope they can keep things at 60fps. The videos are encoded at 30fps so you can't tell..
