Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

shdemo2.jpg Apparently some of these features did make it to the US version, so it's not like you're gonna see the most brutal chainsaw child rape / consensual donkeypunch molestation by the triangle man's posse of rotten nurse boobies - but it's an uber g33k trophy to prance around your living room with.... as you bask in the glow of it all alone.... with the A/C turned up high..... lukewarm bowl of Chef Boyardee low fat Ravioli & Meat Sauce on the coffee table... ducking mother's phone calls on your posh last-summer's-splurge-cellphone.... crying inside. This rare version of the game was spotted on (wh00t Spencer!) Siliconera whom reported on the lucky auctioneer claim of following details :"The most noteable features being the alternate introduction, the appearance of the "Child Like" monsters in the school, and the complete re-arangement of items and monsters in the areas..." More screenshots and where to put your big money down after the jump into vaguely defined purgatory: 4f_1_b.JPG Unverified comments by the aussie auctioneer This is the first build of Silent Hill that was approved for Australian Release by the OFLC and demonstrated to the Reviewing Public. It is an early build of the game which was compiled before any completed versions (NTSC or PAL) were shipped to any countries. This build was later reviewed by KCET and KCEE and they decided that the PAL regional release of the game needed many changes to be made before it was released, despite recieving release approval from the OFLC and getting an approved MA rating. This build of the game contains a small set of areas from the final game that we have today, but it shows off how much of the game was later altered or removed. The most noteable features being the alternate introduction, the appearance of the "Child Like" monsters in the school, and the complete re-arangement of items and monsters in the areas. shdemo1.jpg The appearance of the Child Like monsters does well to co-incide with the new Silent Hill movie, in which the original Child Like monsters appear in the scenes that were later edited out of the final game, but still remain in this version (The early scene in the movie where Rose enters the alley way appears much differently in the Silent Hill game, but in this build, it is much more simmilar, as it was meant to be). Want it huh huh want it? It's on ebay for a limited time. Make sure you wait until the last 50 seconds of the auction to bid the most you're willing to pay, or you're just jacking up the price for no reason. These are passed down wise words to snipe and save by.
