Following its rebranding, Rare has updated its website to tease us… with something.
The UK developer of titles like Perfect Dark and Banjo-Kazooie has taken down its home page and replaced it with a countdown. "07 Days" the site currently reads, which (depending on the timing the site was update) could either point to Microsoft's Project Natal reveal this coming Sunday, or Microsoft's full-on E3 press conference on Monday, June 14. The page also reads, somewhat cryptically "one in a million" and feats the image of a single Xbox 360 Avatar.
It's unknown what Rare has up its sleeve for E3, but my gut tells me that hardcore gamers won't be pleased. The rebranding and the overall vibe of the website right now certainly doesn't scream "Killer Instinct" as much as it screams "cute game where you can make your Xbox 360 Avatars dance around or something." I guess we'll know more in seven days.
