Does this mean that we'll see the Japanese version of The Incredible Machine that was rebranded for Japan with Ghouls n Ghosts too? I could get right behind that!
I don't know what this article is about...is it about a new game being released, the fact that it's rare? It suggests that this is a "rare" game but gives no basis as to what is rare about it other than the console it was on. Is it particularly better than the arcade version? If not, then WTF, how about we celebrate when they release the arcade version on consoles? If it is better, how? What makes this rarity news worthy?

Hudson created the Turbografx/PC Engine and all of the related stuff in conjuction with NEC. That's where they come in.

The game is going for $88 on eBay, and this is the only auction that currently exists for the game. I'd say that's a pretty good indication of how rare it is.
And yeah, for anyone interested in this game (or simply ticked off at how poor their own PSN stores' selection is), go order up a Japanese PSN card and sign up for a Japanese PSN account. You won't regret it - trust me on that.

This version is cool and all, but I've already been happily enjoying Ghouls 'n Ghosts for the Genesis on the Virtual Console.
Also, unlike many games in the Ghosts 'n Goblins series, the game is beatable. =)
