Yes, older Xbox 360 game consoles were prone to failure. Apparently, so is Ralphie May's comedy routine.
Gametrailers sent us this sad Ralphie May performance from the 2007 Spike Video Game Awards. He went on for a few minutes before the presentation of the winner of Best Individual Sports Game. May tried to appeal to the audience, but they were not feeling it. Our guess is that you won't either.
He tried to work in a crack about Xbox 360 failures between fat jokes and slurs, but a punchline of "I should've got a five Xbox" is totally lost, even on gamers. This marks the first time I've felt nervous and totally embarrassed for someone featured in a web clip.

This Ralphie guy just insults himself with fat jokes as a way to protect himself from anyones fat jokes. He figures if they see me insulting myself. They'll be aware that I'm aware how fat I am. You'll laugh with me instead of at me.
That was bad, I just wish the entire crowd was silent the entire time, even the few sparse chuckles was far too much positve reinforcment for the badness i just watched.
who the fuck smashes an Xbox360 thats just fucked up why would you smash the best console of this gen.
Spykron: you're rite i felt more comfortable watching 2 girls 1 cup than this guy.

A 5 xbox? What is he even talking about? It seems like they just saw him backstage walking about and went "DUDE! Doug called in sick, we need you to present an award!" then pushed his fat ass on stage.
xbox360 has good games but ps3 is a better system. Microsoft is a bad company they make bad quality products PS3 is better. I like ps3 it has cool games just you wait in 2008 sony ps3 will rock. I have PSP, PS2, PS3 but i'm not a fanboy xbox360 just sucks because it breaks a lot and i'm fat. Just you wait MGS4/FF13 will be great and PS3 has good games already: Lair/Heavenly Sword/Genji. Also i hate mainstream and i'm fat.
For all their efforts to jazz the show up to be uber cool, having this guy only screams uber sad. As if all the other comedians were booked for the holidays.
That whole award show was fucking terrible. They need hosts and presenters who actually know shit about video games, and aren't there for a quick paycheck.
I love Stan Lee, but he walked out, rambled for twenty seconds, then said something along the lines of "here's the world premiere trailer for Iron Man something." Other presenters didn't know shit about the game they were presenting, or didn't know how to pronounce the name of games or companies. How unprofessional.
Although, an obviously drunk Helen McWilliams was ecstatic to win "Best Soundtrack", when it was glaringly obvious to everyone paying attention that Rock Band won for Best Rhythm Game, so maybe having industry insiders on the mic isn't much of an improvement.
They should just get us to do it. We're big enough nerds.
that is the problem when grotesquely fat comedians lose weight to just disgustingly fat. They are no long simply hilarious to look at. I think before, the fascination was more "it can talk?"
Dale, I had no idea what you were talking about when I read your post, having watched the show last night in it's repeat airing. Spike edited out all the stuff about the 360 when the show aired. My 360 had died 5 times now, as they keep replacing them with older units. Funny or not, censorship sucks.
Got any footage of Patton Oswalt? I understand he was there giving out the "fueled by Dew" award. He has a humorous anecdote about it on his myspace blog.

It's a shitty joke and a tenuous link at best.
