Has it been a while since you dusted off that Xbox 360 version of Rainbow Six: Vegas? Well it's time to get back in the swing of things -- Tom Clancy style. According to the latest blog entry of Major Nelson, Ubisoft wants to apologize over the mix-up on Tuesday involving the downloadable black pack, and is here to win you back with virtual roses of the gaming variety:
Ubi has send me the official word on the RSV Black Pack (which went MIA earlier this week) and it is good news:
‘Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack Downloadable Content for Xbox 360 Live was originally intended to be free content for the fans of Rainbow Six Vegas. We apologize for the error. All players who purchased the Black Pack will be reimbursed automatically. The Black Pack will be posted Saturday June 30th and will be free of charge. Also, as a token of our appreciation for the Rainbow Six community, we are making the Red Pack free as of Friday July 6th as well. Thanks for playing and we hope you enjoy this free content.’
Major Nelson is quite the purveyor of map pack goodness these days, if I say so myself. First we're treated to the control and conquer all map pack for F.E.A.R, and now this? It's time to cross our fingers, and hope that the whole downloadable charity business continues this nice trend -- minus the boo-boos, of course.
