Cloud, Crash, and Rayman next would be perfect. Please. (I doubt Rayman though since his next game is apparently exclusive to Wii-U)
Maybe they are reserving the reveal of Snake for the finale? Or for Super Smash Bros, who knows.
ERMAGERD DEY HERVE ONE CHURICTUR IN DER TWICE
Meanwhile, 40% of Street Fighter's roster is variations of Ryu.
But the graphics... There's something "Off" about them, they look bland for a ps3 game... Super smash brothers Brawl looks better, more colorful.... And it's a wii game...
Game looks cool as shit, but the fucking roster is like boiled cabbage. Bland, boring, and it'll probably upset your stomach.
And of course it is only for the EU. Make sense out of that.
PSABR? Nope.
But overall its just like Superbot isn't even trying to find a happy artistic medium to get all these characters to look like the could stand in the same room. When SE made Dissidia, they aimed to blend Amano and Nomura's artistic sensibilities together so the entire cast could stand side-by-side. It looked great.
Would it be so bad to toon up Nathan Drake, Sweettooth and some of the other so they match up a little better with Fat Princess and Parappa?
Mega Man has always been a Nintendo character first, so it makes sense that he's not shortlisted in this game's target audience.
Also fuck having a set art style. The best thing about this game is each character has its own original style somewhat. Itll make the characters more fun to play and make each feel unique in a way.
I hope this game will sell really well so itll shut up all you fucking hypocrites. EAT MY DICK!! :-D
Love you <3
I hope so, because so much of this roster makes me want to fall asleep. I'm hoping they dump a whole bunch of interesting surprises in at some point soon.
No, but really. Where the fuck is David Hayter? If Smash Bros can get Snake, why can't Sony? Snake is more a Sony franchise than a Nintendo one to begin with. And no, the NES port of the MSX2 Metal Gear and the non-canon sequel don't count for shit. Neither does the MGS1 remake.
It's tacky looking - deal with it.
Also interesting that I cite a Final Fantasy example from a PSP game and your kneejerk response is that I don't like it because it's not Nintendo.
I dislike it because it does not respect the roots of Playstation brand and that has always been my issue. I'm happier with Persona 4 Arena because that is a game that respects its roots and the brand it has built.
Yep, it plays a great deal like BlazBlue, the difference is, however, it did not sell its soul and brand in exchange for sales.
Probably means we won't see any Wild ARMs characters. I don't even know if they still own Legend of Dragoon. No Legend of Legaia characters. Probably no Spyro.
Man, for how awesome the PS1 was, they really fucked the pooch on establishing a brand of their own characters. They just... let 'em go.
I don't think the people Sony Smash is trying to appeal to is in the age group of Mega Man when he was in his prime.
@ctg
Snake is busy being in better games. They could only get Raiden.
Jordan: "Although Raiden doesn't necessarily make me think of "PlayStation," he should be a fun character to play as and looks like a solid addition to All-Stars' growing roster."
Not a big deal, but it's strange you think that. After all, the only multiplatform game cyborg ninja Raiden has appears in is yet to be released.
Glad you were so busy coming up with a witty comeback to troll me with that you failed to actually read what I was saying in the first place. Good job, kid.
Metal Gear started as an MSX2 franchise and had a mediocre port and non-canon sequel on the NES. Effectively all Metal Gear Solid games have come to a PlayStation platform first or exclusively. The MGS games have been far more critically and commercially successful than the MG games. They also came out much more recently. It's a Sony franchise. It's not a Nintendo franchise. If the former can lock down Snake for Brawl, Sony should hit up Kojima and do the same for Battle Royale.
Understand? Good. Now go be somewhere.
@Mos
Lol I just imagine Kojima and Hayter sitting in a room together staring at a big MGS5 logo that the art team came up with and going, "....so what now?" In the background you can hear Raiden screaming "Buy my game! Buy my game! Remember how cool I was in MGS4?! Buy my game!"
*Sigh* ...I miss Snake.
He doesen't looks as agile as he is supposed to be and the ulti is probably the worse so far. Plus, of all the over the top stuff they could have given him they use boxes...... which are A LOT more related to snake
Funny, I could swear Metal Gear was a Konami franchise and they could do whatever the hell they wanted.
Also "doesn't count"? Tell that to the guy who made the games. He may disagree with you.
Take it as it is cuz this game looks awesome.
I played it at FanExpo and it feels much like Smash Bros. This is a bad thing how?
I actually liked it better.
