Ragnarok Odyssey's follow-up has an Ace up its sleeve, packed with all new content -- effectively rendering it an expansion. In addition to yet another Vita version the game is also dropping on the PlayStation 3, which is good news for those of you who don't own Sony's latest portable yet. So what do you get for your $40?
Right off the bat, you're getting Cross-Play capabilities between the two (but not Cross-Buy, sadly) -- and the ability to transfer your old character over. Not everything will transfer though, as you won't get the same clothing or any cards equipped on your clothing. The biggest addition content wise is the Tower of Yggdrasil, which is a randomly generated dungeon that will keep people busy for hours on end once they're done with everything else.
There are also a number of new abilities, bosses, items, and the ability to recruit new AI players in lieu of multiplayer partners. If you've never played Ragnarok Odyssey, this is a great time to pick it up, as the core game experience is still here. Having said that, the new content doesn't jump out at you until the end, so if you only casually played the original and want more, I'd wait for a price drop -- unless you have friends to play with and want to power through to Yggdrasil.
