I'm starting to question to what extent the negative image surrounding gamers is a result of actual gamers, and to what extent it's a result of unbelievably unprofessional 'professionals.' Have you considered that, perhaps, there was a more appropriate fashion in which to represent yourself. Perhaps one which couldn't be roughly approximated by finding the nearest twelve-year-old and calling him a 'poopie-head'?
Though I suppose I respect your lack of self respect. That's an interesting thing you've got going for you, man. If nothing else, I see you'll stay young forever.
Oke picture this, Luke is on the death star. The only way to destroy the Empire is to destroy the death star. When the death star explodes Vader, the Emperor. and all storm troopers and Empire folks just flat out die. But, the entire solar system the Death star is located will be destroyed. So the entire rebel fleet will die including Han, Lea, Chewie etc who are on Endor. Luke decides to destroy the death star anyway. There's a huge explosion, Luke dies along with everyone else. Then we get a 3 minute epilogue with Han, Lea, Chewie, C3p0 r2 etc. On a jungle planet stranded. They come out of the Millennium Falcon and are smiling looking towards the horizon. Turns out they were already fleeing the battle when the death star got destroyed. Somehow the falcon picked up the whole crew on Endor then proceeded to flee the battle to escape the solar destroying explosion only to finally strand on a unexplored jungle planet in the middle of no where. This is the second time I've seen you copy and paste that little Star Wars comparison, word for word. Wanna site a source?
So maybe they shouldn't want the self congratulation it's still charity donations, so why the hostile sounding article ? Is there some unwritten law of gaming that we can't be unhappy with something we spent our money on ? I don't think we "deserve" a new ending but some kind of epilogue with closure for the universe would be nice. I went into the game expecting Shepard's story to end and not happily but in a manner that had less ambiguity.

"$26,000 for Child's Play"
I choose to filter all the crap concerning the Mass Effect 3 ending as best as possible, because I really can't be arsed to care. It sounds like another case of Bioware "fans" being massively stupid.
That was classy of you jim.
Give those whiners what they deserve.
But EA surely will get the hunch and sell those crybabies new endings as DLC. :D
I'm OK with the endings, actually, as I did not have five years to twist my expectations beyond reason. I saw the McGuffin dropped right at the start of ME3.
Bioware's endgames have always been fixed, you just get to influence thing on the way to it. I hate to defend sleaze like Bioware, but it's not thier fault thier fans are this stupid.
The complaints are valid to a point, but it doesn't matter since the 'real' ending will just be sold later as DLC. If it wasn't intentional then the rest of the game would be crappy overall too.
Also:
BioWare should not buckle under the pressure. Because no matter what they produce now it's gonna be shit. Or rather it's going to give out a premise that people can change shit by insane whining.
:D
Fifteen years, and the ending was ass. The whole last half of the last book felt lazy, and the ending was so unsatisfying he was driven to write another ending before the book's release. That ending sucked too.
I never once complained, wrote an email, or started a fucking charity run. I accept that the ending did nothing for me, despite the fact I had spent more than half my life on this one story. You're entitled to enjoy a game or not enjoy it, but fuck off if you think you should always get the resolution you want.
If you just are charitable for the coverage, you aren't charitable at all, you know that much, right?
It's funny you mention that, and I thought of the exact same thing when all this ME3 ending business started. I felt really bad for him about the Dark Tower ending, actually. I mean... hell, think about it. How DO you end it in anything remotely resembling a satisfying manner? I remember reading a comment from King about that ending, how so many people hated it but that it seemed to him the only way the story could possibly end, and I think I agree with him, to be honest. That series was just never going to have a satisfying ending. Maybe Mass Effect is the same way?
Anyway, yeah, /agree with everything you said.
I like the ending the last page gave hope to Rolands character he can escape the loop this time.
as for ME3 i liked the endings but then again i remember Bioware doing a expansion to explain a ending for Baldur's Gate 2 called Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal.
put these going look we made money for Charity now pay attention to us is kind of pathetic
If the writers like the ending they should stick with it, even if there the only ones who can't see that its shit.
Fucking nerds, man.
