RAGE was patched for PC shortly after launch, but it wasn't completely fixed. There have still been issues with blurring textures, but a new patch is on the way that will sort everything out.
"We have a bicubic-upsample+detail texture option for the next PC patch that will help alleviate the blurry textures in RAGE,"said id Software's John Carmack on Twitter.
RAGE released on October 5 and got pretty good reviews. The PC version, however, was marred with reports of visual problems and lacking options. Hopefully this last patch brings it up to speed with the console version, not that I feel that really excuses anything.

Thanks bro, I needed a good chuckle to kick off the day.
They didn't give me what I wanted to purchase. I wanted a solid PC FPS with a decent story, good gameplay, variation and modern visuals. Such as their marketing promised.
They did give me good gameplay. However, no variation (the game is just fetch quests), lack of 'standard' pc options, no story, and the most horrible fucking visuals ever.
The Pop-in textures of that game is nothing but EMBARRASSING for ID. This game takes one step forward in the industry of fps... but then takes a few steps back.
We are in the age where Devs get away with releasing unfinished and unpolished games because they can simply release a "fix" patch later on. All just so they can release ahead of the competition... because their game isn't good enough to compete.
Driver problems dude. Driver problems. Ati and nVida said driver will work in a certain way. But turn out they didn't and now both of them are desperately patching their drivers.
The update just seem to add some kind of filtering to sharpen the textures a little and from the looks of it will be adding "detail textures". But if you are getting the mess like the article's pic, update your drivers/wait for Ati and nVida to sort it out.
