Treyarch’s upcoming entry into the James Bond videogame world is coming to a head this November. Unlike some of the drivel that has come out of the Bond pipeline since Goldeneye exploded all over the place, Quantum of Solace appears to be inspired. It’s obvious that it wants to capture Daniel Craig’s portrayal of a more visceral Bond, but more importantly, it may actually be able to stand on its own as a shooter

The entire trailer is full of nothing but action. There are ladies, karate, exploding barrels, train jumping and even a throwback to split-screen multiplayer towards the end. It looks mighty tasty.

If you need a sense of what the game is about, look no further than Nick’s or Anthony's impression pieces. Nick called the gameplay a “mixture of Rainbow Six Vegas and Gears of War on secret agent steroids...” I’m guessing that is a good thing, but I wonder what secret agent steroids taste like.

Are you guys ready for a new Bond title? How hot is Daniel Craig on a scale of 1-10 with one being “hot” and ten being “volcano”?

Oh, and I give Daniel Craig an 8-ish.

lol @ MrSadistic. But, the game actually looks cool. Been a long time since I've said that about a Bond game.

Maybe this will be better than Nightfire or Agent Under Fire. I have high hopes for it.

I'll probably end up being disappointed, but this doesn't look half bad.

Try the demo.
Running of the COD4 engine the graphics are awesome and gunplay is also par. The cover they added plays exactly like GOW in a good way. When you go into melee you have to shoot specific point on the screen on PC instead of button presses on the consoles. This game looks and plays quite well overall with a great cinematic quality, the only flaw I see is the AI is a little sluggish, but I was playing on easy.

Could this be possible? a movie game that doesn't suck? a game that lives to the hype?

but more importantly a game that ends Goldeneye's yesrs of dominance as the Bond game to beat?

There are very few men I would sleep with. He is one of them.

I hardly know what to say. It is a well established fact that I have an unconditional love of Daniel Craig. What can't that man do? His face alone may make this game great.

The real problem that comes to my mind is, how can you even begin to box the man into a 10 point scale?!

Casino Royale was fantastic, easily my favorite bond of all time, I'm sorely tempted to give this game a shot based on my love for Craig.

That "free map pack" better be released for everyone else at some point.

Trailer makes the game look pretty exciting, but I was hardly impressed with the demo. It was incredibly short so I guess it's not much to judge off of, but I thought the gameplay felt exactly average - although I do think the mechanics worked out pretty well (cover, taking guys down, etc.)

Not to excited for the game, can't wait for the movie though.

ahh - now we see why COD5 is back in WWII

I hope it's worth it!

This...looks...good.

Wow. That's nice to say about a Bond game!

I still think Goldeneye aged horribly, so they can stop comparing new Bond games to it I think.

It looks like a groovy mix of first and third person which could be really cool!

@Cacophony: I totally agree. People really need to stop bumming Goldeneye the game. Go back and play it now and it's nowhere near as good as you remember. Let it live in your childhood!
