Early next month, a number of game tournaments will be held in Dallas, Texas for this year's QuakeCon. As you would expect, there will be Quake tournaments, but this year Brink will join the festivities as well.

  • Intel Quake Live Duel Invitational Masters: 16 of the world's best players will compete in a single-elimination bracket with more than $14,000 at stake.
  • Quake Live Team Deathmatch Invitational Masters: four vs. four team competition in a single-elimination bracket across five arenas. $28,000 is up for grabs.
  • Brink Open Tournament: 16 teams of amateurs fight through Stopwatch matches for video cards, autographed copies of Brink, and other assorted prizes.

I was going to drop the quote from Smash TV, but it's too early for me to be that enthusiastic. Head to the official QuakeCon site for future updates.
