Quack! Ultimate Duck Hunting coming to the Wii photo

For whatever reason, everyone has wanted to play the original Duck Hunt on the Nintendo Wii. People seem to remember the NES light gun classic actually being good, and coupled with the fact that Nintendo teased the world with a gun  attachment peripheral for the Wii remote, there's just no convincing people that it wouldn't be a good idea.

Ultimate Duck Hunting, from developer DetN8 Games, is an attempt to prey on these very people. The game (which has a full, descriptive title of Ultimate Duck Hunting: Hunting and Retrieving Ducks) is a true evolution of the NES classic. With a full selection of duck hunting and retrieving tools at your disposal, players will finally be have the true outdoors experience in their living room ... thanks to the Nintendo Wii!

Ultimate Duck Hunting, the ultimate duck hunting and retrieving experience, will be available this July. Polish those decoys, and check out the images to see what the hunting dog and mallard slaughtering excitement will look like on your Wii.

Can't say that I've ever seen box art devoting more than 50% of the cover to a dog's head before.

I will bet any amount of money that everyone who plays this game will make at least one attempt to shoot the dog.

I'd like to give it a try, although it looks pretty horrible graphically.

Why are developers content in making Wii games look like DS games? I hate people that milk the cash cow. Yes, Wii is popular right now, but thats no excuse to put any game out, it won't work, spend some time on something and maybe people will buy your product, I'm sick of this garbage. Oh Mario Galaxy where are you?

Oh man, this is going right next to Cabellas Big Game Hunter: Alaskan Expedition Edition . . . . on the compost heap.

And what's coming in June other than the remake of RE:4 that's going to be worth owning for Wii rather than some other console?

There are several titles im interested in for June. I will most likely pick up RE4 since I never played it. I will probably pick up scarface since I've never played it. Depending on the Reviews, I might pick up Transformers or Fantastic 4. I will definitely pick up the first wii online title that is set to release in june, can't remember the name, but it's coming from the Nintendo camp. Just to test out the online capabilities.

My main reason for posting that is just because soo many people say that the Wii has no 3rd party support. I mean, the Wii has double the support from 3rd party that the Cube had. Just because some of the 3rd party titles are crap. Doesn't mean they all are.

I dunno, the older I get, the more my gaming habits change. I guess thats why the Wii appeals to me much more. I mean, the 360 rocks, and I want a new one because my bricked right after warranty ran out. I just can't justify buying a new console right now. The PS3 on the other hand, yeah, it's just an over hyped George Foreman Grill that happens to play video games.

The graphics look like puke. the cover looks like a parody done in Photoshop.

This can't be real, and if it is it deserves a horrible, painful death.

It looks like a PS2 game from 2000.

Why would anyone pay money for this shovelware?

There's no point to buying this at all, since it will have about as much intereaction as the glorified tech demo that comes with the system.

I vote fail.
