According to IGN, a not-too-confident D3 Publisher revealed that Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords will be next week's Xbox Live Arcade title. That is, of course, it "all goes well."
As we all know, the XBLA certification process is a minefield of red tape and night terrors, so until we get the official word from Microsoft, nothing is set in stone. For all we know, this week's releases could be more fish for last week's XBLA title, Tetris Splash. Still, releasing a "launch" trailer for Puzzle Quest is a promising sign.
I certainly hope we see the game this week. In anticipation, I just traded in my Nintendo DS version of the game for a measly $7 in store credit -- that won't even pay for half of the XBLA title, which is set to run 1200 MS Points (or $15).
Though I LOVED Puzzle Quest on my DS, I don't think I'll be picking this one up. There are just too many other things for me to spend money on this time of year, and this won't be different enough (online play would be nice) to warrant another purchase. Plus my level 50 knight would be demoted back down to level 1!
i have this on the psp and have been dying for this to come out on xbla. i kinda wish it was cheaper, but for the amount of time i know i'm going to be putting into it . I guess my wallet will be subject to the rape. This is Puzzle Quest people, get excited!!!!
Oh my god finally. I traded in my PQ for DS when this was first announced, thinking that it would be released rather quickly. I've been struggling to keep my sanity ever since.
