The highly anticipated title, Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords, will finally make it to Xbox Live Arcade starting on Wednesday. It's going to cost a whopping 1200 Microsoft Points ($15), while this week's other XBLA release, Yaris, will be free for Xbox Live Silver and Gold members.
Puzzle Quest will no doubt be very popular with many of you, even at a higher-than-normal price point. It's like a freakin' drug -- you just have to get your fix. But for those of you unfamiliar with the game, here's a brief synopsis.
Next up is Yaris, a "brand-supported" game in which you control a Toyota Yaris and shoot/dodge your way across a race track. It sounds incredibly weird, and trust me, it is, but for a free game it might actually be worth trying. Hey, at least it's original.
What are you going to be downloading this week, Dtoiders?
[Update: Added a video of Yaris after the break, so now you'll be able to see the game in all of its ... um, glory?]
Jordan Devore is Destructoid's PC gaming manager and founding ginger editor. He is said to be easy to love but difficult to know. When Samit inquired about his curious bio photo Jordan simply replied: "bitches love sandcastles" ... yet, there is no sandcastle in that photo. We may never truly understand his ways.

1200 points for Puzzle Quest is very much worth it, especially since that's half the price of the PSP and DS versions and it's a 50 hour game. The price of zero points, however, is still too much for Yaris.
Is Yaris free? Then I'll be downloading that. Puzzle Quest would have to be hella good for me to pay 1200 Microsoft points ($15) for it.
Also, everyone should know that Yaris is not going to be around forever, it's a limited time offer, so get it while you can, which I think is within a year's time. Okay, so maybe no rush.
Advergames aren't too terrible I think. My only concern is that I'm paying 50 dollars a year to be advertised to. I think that if I'm going to shell out money for a service, the least they can do is drop the fucking Navy ads.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
"Think I'll wait for the inevitable sequel, Yaris' Revenge."
That made me giggle, but I think I'll stick with Catch The Sperm.

one is free and happy *yay!*
As for the Yaris game, I dont mind if companies want to hock their cheezy wares in the form of free XBLA games.
I know I'm going to buy Puzzle Quest, despite having actually bought a DS specifically to play it.
