Puzzle Quest 2 coming to PSP

Puzzle Quest 2 coming to PSP photo

I swore that the first Puzzle Quest was best on the PSP but no one believed me. I don't think anyone tried it. But it had really nice graphics and a good layout, and it didn't leave my PSP UMD slot for a very long time.

When I heard the announcement for the sequel, Puzzle Quest 2, I noticed that the PSP wasn't included among the supported consoles. I asked Infinite Interactive why and they gave me that old line about demand and how we could possibly see it announced later.

That later is now, as Puzzle Quest 2 will come to the PlayStation Store towards the end of 2010. It includes all the standard content but will add a new Elite Mode, where the battles are harder and the rewards greater.

Nice! I kind of feel like they ported this for me. Thanks, Infinite Interactive.

@Dale

It definitely looked better, but my PSP version always lagged when it was loading special effects, etc.

Hey, this is what I was waiting for, too. Maybe a lot of us emailed them... PSP version is definitely the best of the ones I played. Buying day one.

wasn't the PSP version broken? I thought that the party members in your team wouldn't provide their bonuses during battles like they would on the XBLA and DS versions. I mean battles could be won, but it kind of defeated that part of the strategy

@XrayZwei:

Yeah, the PSP one had that bug, but I played a lot of the DS version and, to be fair, I rarely used allies.

This game really needs a touchscreen, much like pvz.

Both Puzzle Quests are best on the DS, and I don't know why anyone would be dumb enough to say otherwise. These games are made for a stylus + touchscreen + buttons type interface, therefore not enough buttons on the iProducts, not enough touch on everything else.

I'm definitely buying this. The PSP version was essentially the same as the X360 version, just smaller as opposed to the ugly DS version.
..and the button-only control scheme worked just fine for me.

Very shrewd move on I.I.'s part. Not announcing a PSP version so I would be forced to buy the Xbox Live Arcade port, THEN after they have my money, oh wait...now you must buy for PSP,gotcha bitch! Ouch my wallet is hurting from your savy marketing skills you bastards.
