Puzzle Chronicles to baffle me further in Q1 2010 photo

After staring at these new images of Puzzle Chronicles for entirely too long, I have come to a conclusion: I still don't know how the hell this game works. It's coming to us from the Puzzle Quest folks, so the hybrid RPG/puzzle nature of the game is a given.

But even after re-reading Ben's preview, I still can't seem to make any sense of how battles go down. As long as lessons were learned from Galactrix and the same mistakes aren't made twice, I'll be along for the ride. Tutorials: Puzzle Chronicles had better have plenty of them.

The screenshots are from the DS, PSP, and XBLA/PSN/PC versions of the game, in case you were wondering what was up with the variation in size and graphical might.

Jesus, the people behind Puzzle Quest just keep pumping out the games, don't they?

Looks kinda interesting, I guess.

The header image gave the the impression the game was like Battleships. Then by looking at the other images, I decided a more appropriate name would be Clusterfuck.

Think it's like Fuzzle? lol fuzzle quest

There's some game I downloaded for the iDevice where you have a set grouping of objects in the center, and you fire other objects at this pile from the edges and three matches disappear. These shots remind me of that.

*honestly seriously desperately wants RPG + Meteos, though*

Looks like they just took puzzle fighter and turned it on it's side and added a couple bells and whistles.

Hi guys... I'd just like to note that whilst the DS & PSP screens are up to date, the PC/XBLA are most definitely not! Those screens are from a very early (demo) version of the game...
