The Pure Pwnage television series premiered last Friday and we totally forgot to remind you all. Well it's better late then never to mention that Pure Pwnage has made it big and are Canadian TV stars now! The above is the trailer to the series and it actually looks promising.
I just checked out the first episode and the series stays true to its roots by starting with a Machinima skit. The episode then goes on with Jeremy getting kicked out of his house and trying to deal with the lack of his precise Internet.
I was skeptical at first about the series going from Web to TV, but overall the show was excellent. Pure Pwnage fans won't be disappointed here. And best of all, the show's ending credits is Jeremy's "teh noob" song.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meet the rest of the team
Yeah you can't watch it on the showcase website unless your using a Canadian ip address... If Hamza has watched it, it's around somewhere though. Couldn't find a link last night.
When I had satellite a year back, this show was on G4 for a limited time (at least on the Canadian G4). Either they didn't make many episodes or it just wasn't good enough to keep airing, because it wasn't there for very long. I myself, remember that it wasn't as funny as I was hoping. Then again, that could just mean I didn't get any of the jokes. Oh well, here's hoping for better writing and a bigger budget.
It was pretty good i guess but WTF is going on now he's back with his mom i mean is this a prequel or something, i'm a bit confused about that but still it was pretty funny.
I remember five years ago I thought this stuff was golden. When the second season came out, I didn't really enjoy it. The "Gamer Army" plot was really corny and it was hard to watch.
Now watching this episode, I am no longer a fan. To me, it really did lost its charm from the first season. The only thing I found funny was that fake five dollar bill Doug drew. Oh well.
This is kind of like a third season that continues after where Season 2 would have ended is my interpretation. They are still working on season 2 independently from Showcase and according to Jarrett it's already all filmed. I will be attended the Toronto Pure Pwnage event tomorrow so I can ask a bit more about it since I won two tickets with reserved seating.
It's too bad they're only airing in Canada, but here's to hoping somebody in the States at least wants to pick it up. Always nice to see someone make a decent living doing what they love, even better if they're from Canada.
I've never watched the stuff they did online before so I didn't really know what to expect. I stumbled upon the show last week and was pretty impressed with it. I mean it's not the greatest or most hilarious show ever but it's still a pretty enjoyable watch. It entertained me for the half-hour.
So I guess that they are starting over and not following what happened on the web series. That's fine but I'd kind of like to see them wrap up the web series.
being Canadian I've seen the commercials on the Comedy Network and from the commercials the show looks amateurish like most web tv shows do.i passed on watching the first episode,I'll give it a look just to see king Douche Billy Mitchell.

So now there on here in Canadia eh? I'll have to check it out. LOL nice to see Billy Mitchell again.
