Purchase Gran Turismo PSP on PSN and get a free car photo

Free is good, right? But wait -- not Free free, like how Gran Turismo was free for our European friends that bought the PSPgo. Americans still have to buy the game, but at least there's a free bonus.

Buy the PSP game Gran Turismo on the PlayStation Network as a download, and you'll get a free car, a 2009 Nissan GT-R Spec V in metallic blue added to your car roster. This offer is good starting today, October 1st, and for the next 15 days.

Bitching about free things aside, Gran Turismo is a pretty solid offering for the PSP. I wish there was more of a racing game there, but as it stands, it is still a pretty good portable experience.

I don't know if it's because I got into console gaming kind of late but I have no idea why GT is such a huge hit.

Why give a free car to those who didn't buy the version that cost money to put on a physical media format? Why not give the game for free to US PSPGo early adopters? Why does this make no sense?

It's Sony, that's why.

There is no career mode and no ability to upgrade cars with any aftermarket parts. It's just a fucking tech demo, guys.

As much as I love that GTR, I don't care to give Sony $40 for this mess.
