from what im gathering, everyone is out to kill 47 now. more so than the last game. so im guessing he will be running from more assassins and cops than killing contracts.
Can we just wait to see the gameplay implications before displaying our unanimous, sanctimonious butthurt? We know next to nothing of the Saints at this point, other than their inclinations toward vinyl and assault weapons. They could be very well be a unit similar to the tragic B&B of Metal Gear Solid 4, serving a distinct and significant narrative purpose by juxtaposing the grotesque reality of war with the glamor and glorification media tends to place upon violence and killers. It's just a vague and sensationalistic teaser trailer, so stop with the knee-jerk reactions and wait to see if your suspicions are grounded within the reality of the actual gameplay.
They have shown some gameplay. It's basically Arkham Asylum, only instead of Batman, you have some bald guy with a gun.

Well that was really silly, what are they doing with this game? Are they going full blown camp with this game or what?
The sexy nuns I'm fine with, but only because Hitman games do have an oddball streak to them sometimes. Walking around mardis gras as a giant chicken to take someone out comes to mind. As does the guy with the red painted face and slick matching suit and white hair.
But anyone who likes Hitman games doesn't play them like that.

So people are honestly saying that this is dramatically most tasteless than the snuff club from Hitman: Contracts, or the assassin that rides you to death in Blood Money? You're actually, honestly saying that this is somehow worse than the content from the previous Hitman? I mean, come on, the assassins in black Big Bird suits, also in Blood Money? Didn't you also kill a convent of ancient Chinese monks in one of the early Hitman games? Come on, people, we can't really be that stupid that we're systematically forgetting that a stupid game is still stupid, right?
That is so freaking ridiculous and over-the-top that this has made me THAT much more interested in the game coming out!

Yeah, the Hitman franchise has always had some ridiculous scenarios (I still remember the Meat King's brother singing while the corpse of the hostage is hanging up in the meat locker in Contracts), and there's been plenty of bizarre stuff 47 has done and can do in the previous games - dressing up like a samurai, killing a woman with a pair of garden shears, the knife-wielding "angel" in Blood Money, etc.
This isn't that much more ridiculous than anything else I've seen - I could go either way. After all, this is the same franchise that used advertising to market Hitman 2: SA and Blood Money as over-the-top action games. The footage I've seen so far looks pretty good, and Sniper Challenge seems to be really fun from all accounts.

Well, this is horrible. Not surprising to see a call to boycott already, and I certainly won't be surprised if this is one game boycott that people actually stick to. Beyond the technical achievement on show here there is absolutely nothing redeeming and it's not hard to see how this could offend so many.
Hell, it offends me, and I'm a straight male between ages 16-25 who enjoys sexy ladies and blowing shit up. Clearly I am the target audience. It's offensive that a developer/publisher thinks this is the best way to get someone like me interested in their game. This is what they think I want, this is a display of how stupid they think their customers are.
"What would appeal to our main target demographic?"
"Well, how about we have some slaggy-dressed women get butchered by Agent 47, with copious close-ups of their breasts and arses, moments before they're killed?"
"Yup, that'll get 'em preordering!"
I'm not offended because I'm female, or against violence, or religious, or whatever else; I'm offended because I like to think of myself as having a functioning brain, I like to think I have some degree of class and standards. And this is what publishers and developers think I want. This is what they think speaks to the common video game player. Fuck that.

Let's go through the missions in blood money: Tutorial has you taking down a pimp who works out of an abandoned amusement park on a pier.
The opera house has you taking down a guy who deals in sex trafficking underaged girls.
The Mardi Gras mission has you taking down people dressed in chicken suits. The female target is unshockingly wearing sexy tights with hers.
The birthday party can have you go to the wife's bedroom. She sleeps with the pool boy so if you just need the pool boy outfit. She passes out before anyting happens.
The Heaven and Hell party level has you dealing with people wearing either angel costumes or goth costumes all scantily clad.
The playboy mansion like level obviously has women running around in santa costumes though sexified versions of them.

I'm pretty blank on my opinion on this, but the fact that people are so put off by it shows how little a sense of humor people had when watching it. Then again, that's probably Rockstar's fault because this is Hitman and they didn't expect the trailer to require that much of a sense of humor in the first place.

I just love when people decide that they are buying or not buying a game purely because of a CG trailer. I'd imagine with that system you've purchased some pretty awful games and missed out on some gems. Smart.
