Psycho Crusher's Lavender Town jam will forever haunt you

Pokémon, like many children's properties, seems all sugary and innocent on the surface. But dig a little bit deeper and you'll find a wealth of freaky sh*t that was best left untouched. Cubone's wearing the skull of his mother is only the tip of the iceberg. There's also the disturbia that is Lavender Town.

Psycho Crusher's Kris Escobar, who last melted faces with this sick Earthworm Jim cover, now wants to instill fear and dread with his take on Lavender Town's theme from Pokémon Red / Blue. As he plays, the most chilling ghost Pokémon fan art flashes across the screen. Meanwhile, I'm reminded of the fabled Pokémon ROM hack that inserted an unnamed ghost into your party, and I piss myself.

And I was having such a good day, too.
