Earlier this week, Sony had confirmed that the PSPgo was ceasing production so it could concentrate on the upcoming NGP. However, Sony Computer Entertainment America apparently still has use for the thing, as it will continue distribution in North America.
Like a three-eyed newborn still kicking and screaming over the furnace where it belongs, the PSPgo is clinging onto life. Seems a little unkind to me, but whatever. I guess North Americans are still somehow getting suckered into buying an expensive piece of garbage that nobody is supporting.
Fair enough.

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Hmm, it was hard to tell if you were talking about the PSPGo still at this point, or due to the lack of "oomph" it's having this year...the Xbox 360.
Hey-O!
PSPGo, the Buick of the gaming world.
Enh. The lack of back catalog "must haves" suffers as well from publishers who don't want to release them on the PSN - ie Mega Man Powered Up, among many others.
This is coming from a huge PSP fan - if I bought a Go, I'd use it strictly for auxiliary play, and keep my 2000.
Ahh....Spinal.
Why not produce PSP 3000 instead?
I'd say it's more the DeLorean of the gaming world, but that's just me.
It sucks annoying that some games do not have digital download, but who cares? i got 2 psp!
*giggle*
I bought this because I only have a handful of RPGs that I play and I wanted an ultra portable no disk solution that I could take everywhere. I literally call this my "Atlus Portable". I don't mind the premium and for what I want this device for, it rocks. Have not regretted for a moment, the load times are amazing.
