Here's the scenario: an undead private detective, ressurected in a bizarre scientific experiment, uses the severed heads of his enemies to take out paddle wielding tiki-monsters. Hey, it doesn't take much to grab my interest, I guess.
Vicious Cycle Software's PSP title, Dead Head Fred (with its 1940s inspired universe) brings to mind Wideload Games' often overlooked Stubbs The Zombie. One might also remember the Genesis cranium slinging classic, Decap Attack. So while the undead and tossing heads isn't new to video games, it's quite a bold and innovative move bringing them both together.
The game's main character, Fred Neuman, will be voiced by actor John C. McGinley, who I've never heard of, despite the fact that this press release I have here claims he's won a few awards. Apparently, he's on Scrubs -- do people even watch that show anymore? Does anyone toss severed heads? Isn't the "bootleg" Becky from the 90s sitcom, Roseanne, on that show?
I'm full of questions tonight. I need answers, people.
JCM is amazing... he was the one funny thing in The Animal, he was badass in Nothing to Lose, he makes badass semi-appearances in The Rock and Se7en, Dr. Cox from Scrubs is hilarious...
And he was half of the Bobs.
I didn't read the video game part of this article. Sorry.
yeah i watch scrubs, i didn't start watching it till it was on comedy central tho. dr. cox is one of my favorite characters, next to the janitor and the blonde girl whos name escapes me at the moment
So I'm the only one that thinks scrubs became kind of shitty and clichéd by about the fifth season(whichever one cox gew a beard)? I used to watch it frequently, but by the time I stopped, I just wasn't laughing at all in any given episode. But whatever. That game, while I like private dicks, zombies and decapitation all plenty, the gameplay couldn't look more generic 3d action game. Colour me uninterested.
Wow, Nick, first you actually rip on Scrubs, which is probably -THE- most awesome show on TV, but then you don't even know the badassery of John C Mcginley in general, -and- then on top of that don't even know M*A*S*H? You're either living under a rock or like, twelve.
Judging from the fact PSP Fanboy reported this almost a week ago though, -without- the horrible assumption no one watched such an awesome show, I'd go with the living under a rock part.
I just registered to solely say that I watch Scrubs. And, Nick, I'd venture to say that you were *very* wrong in assuming that nobody watches that great show!
Then again, you haven't heard of M*A*S*H, so I won't hold that against you :p

next question?
Seriously, never even once seen Platoon? That's so sad.
And he was half of the Bobs.

I completely agreee with you on Ryan at the end...and what's up with Jim ditching hot girl Karen in NY?>!
Oh, and Decap Attack was the shit.
Stop failing. It's Perry Cox, not Harry Cox.
Really? Never heard of M*A*S*H*? It was a dramadey (drama/comedy) about the Korean war. I would argue it's one of the best tv shows of all time.
Radar FTW!!!

Wow. I applaud you sir.
I always watch the reruns on Comedy Central though. I think I've only watched one or two episodes on NBC (or whatever channel it comes on)
Scrubs is pure goodness.
