Deja vu?
Here's how slow of a news day this is (part two): I finished up a bit more work and then bought a new mattress. Then I went out with my friend for lunch. I did a bit more work on the road, paid some bills, got some of that Vitamin Water and then answered emails. Slow, folks. That's not to say that I wouldn't have ran this blurb on a deconstructed PSP Go anyway, but I just want to let you know where we're coming from today.
Chinese website levelup.cn has done an extensive teardown and display of all of the PSP Go's innards. Ten full pages of high-watermarked images give you full instructions on how to take one apart, as well as show you all of the interesting bits inside.
Things of note (may only appeal to tech geek types):
- thin, fully packed circuit board
- Samsung 16GB memory chip
- Integrated battery
- overall elegant internal design
If you don't like flipping through webpages, you'll find a video that they put together on the last page. It doesn't look like $250 worth of parts when taken apart, does it?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
maybe to prevent pandora's for the go? i'm running on the end of my second psp battery and seriously, it's not cool if you can't replace it.
I bet they wanted an ipod-like system, that is be able to constantly increase
memory after few months so that sales won't tank.
What?
How is that not solid state?
I do wish it was less expensive and had a solid state drive.
