Dracula Chronicles can be sideloaded. I'd try more of my PSOne games (mostly from PS+ free offers), but I only have a nearly-full 16GB card. Fear not, though, as I have a 32GB card coming from Amazon on Wednesday!
The regional schism if nothing else makes sense. PS1 games are the one thing the PS3 can play that are still region locked.
Does anyone know what the average cost for a PSOne game is? I'd love to grab a bunch of these, but I have a feeling the cost is going to put me off.
Here's the big problem here.
We're complaining that we cant play 10+ year old games on our less than 10 month old handheld system. I'd be more forgiving of this if it was complaining about the lack of new games on the system instead.

I love and hate it. Hate it because I cant transfer some of the games (Tomba! comes to mind) but love it just to see all the clusterfuck of inconsistency all around the web. Titles appearing/disappearing from content manager, some cant even start. Sony has never been so pathetic in my eyes :7
The hell man? Why did Sony have to make it so obscure? All I want is my vita to play some FF8/9 and Legend of Dragoon! Not this jumping through hoops bullshit!
What's worse is that it isn't 50 games for Europe: it's 129. And we get 9.

This would be Soooooooo much more tempting if I could store these games on a fucking micro SD and not the garage, proprietary cards.
Castlevania: SotN had a really weird bug for me with a save file i transferred. Alucard kept converting into his wolf form.
Supposedly all these games work on NA Vitas but you have to download them on a PS3 and transfer the installer to the Vita.
So, not great, but at least it's doable. PSP games are the same way. Granted that sucks for Vita only owners.

@Paul Stone: It's $6.99 for most games except for some (the most popular, obviously) which are $9.99 - All the Final Fantasies, Resident Evil 1, Tomb Raider 1, and a few others.

I'm copying over Silent Hill, FFVII, Castlevania SOTN, Castlevania Chronicles, Parasite Eve, Mideval, Legend of the Dragoon, and Sikoden right now. Lots more games work then what is "available" on the store tomorrow. Just download them to the PS3 (dont install them) and sync with the Content Manager. Works fine.

I can't believe the maddening circumstances of my traveling life have lead me to get stuck with a Vita as my only gaming device. I bunkered down for the long haul with this thing out of necessity and that's all there is to it.
Picture me back in February:
"At least I'll have Little Big Planet back in March." I says.
"At least Retro City Rampage is coming out in May." I says.
"At least I'll have my PSOne games in a few weeks." I says.
Seriously... must haz a PS3? More artificial barriers to games I already own, AGAIN?! A $300 access fee? I can't defend this thing to haters and rationalize it to myself anymore, Sony.

Really ticked that owning a PS3 is a requirement for the majority of these games in the U.S.

As silly as it is, the EU list does have me slightly tempted to get a Vita now. The idea of having the middle FInal Fantasys, Tomb Raider, Crash Bandicoot, MediEvil, Vagrant Story, Silent Hill, Fear Effect1+2, Parasite Eve and Resident Evil 1-3 on a portable device is quite nice. Just bizarre and a shame that Legend Of Dragoon isn't included for the EU, and they still haven't put Tekken 3 or Street Fighter Alpha 3 up.
Hell, the only use my 3DS gets is playing the NES/GB/GBA Kirby games and Planets vs Zombies. So it's not perfect - and I hate to imply I'm on Sony's 'side' here - but even this clusterfuck is beating the 3DS, for me.

This is weird... I can't transfer my SH or my RE2... stupid vita's conent manager says they don't exist.
To be able to transfer games over from PS3, you need to have the installer bubble NOT THE INSTALLED GAME. Its confusing but its some anti-piracy thing there. You need to redownload it.
I'm not complaining about this since I'm playing SOTN, Um Jammer Lammy, and RE games which I all got FREE from PS+.
