I might give this one a few days, though, just to make sure they didn't accidentally break anything...
trophy updates/store purchases were part of the first FB update. They might have added more integration like possibly the ability to take in game screens and post them on FB. There was also a 3rd feature in the that was never implemented by any dev to date where games could auto update when you did certain things in game (not trophy related) like if you beat a game on the hardest difficulty it could possibly make a post saying you did so.
@ amtalx:
I know a couple people who've been 2 week banned from PSN for sending hatemail after losing at street fighter 4. I also know of people getting suspensions for being abusive over voice chat in Killzone 2.
Oh, nice. News to me. However, any griefer with half a brain won't use an account with all their goodies on it. It's a step in the right direction though.
...or did I? I know the PSN is down right now for maintenance until 8pm EDT.
I do mind useless updates when they're +10 minutes long.
Thanks for the heads-up.
use the google, read, learn about what you're updating and for what purpose.
Connect your ps3 to your computer with a cat5 patch cable, use wifi on your computer to connect to the internet, go into network connections and "bridge" the wifi and lan, you now share the internet from your wifi to your lan. This allowed me to download everything way faster. A good way to test if you are getting results is to go to speedtest.net and run a test before and after doing this.
Fucking SONY.
You're telling me that every month and a half, you need to spend 15-20 minutes doing anything else while you wait for the system to update.
That's outrageous, I feel your pain man.
When that happened to mine it was my failing hard drive. Power it down, pull out the hard drive, and turn it on. Any difference? I ended up losing my data, but installed a 250GB drive.
Fact: The only time updates are a hassle is if you haven't played or re-installed a game in a long time and you have to sit through 30 minutes or more of updates. It's easy to lose interest in playing the game in that amount of time.
Some of you have absolutely no shame.
