PSA: Persona 4 anime is on Hulu now photo

It's been a few days, but I wanted to make sure that fellow Persona series fans knew that the Persona 4 anime is up on Hulu now. You can watch it right here. Subtitled.

This is a straight up anime adaptation of the game, complete with loading screens that show the weather. Everything's here: Teddy, TV jumping, the original musical score from the game and all the small town Japan scenery you can handle. Not bad. Still, not enough Nanako. She does bust out the original Junes song. It's worth a watch for that, if nothing else.

Everyday Young Life, Ju-Ne-Su!

Have you seen it? If so, what did you think?

Persona 4 was awesome and I enjoyed the story, but an Anime following the same plot seems rather pointless. Just play the damn game!

Well that's nice, good to have another option that doesn't involve simply torrenting it. I've only seen one episode but I like what I've seen so far. It's impressive how faithful to the game the anime is, so hopefully it keeps it up for the rest of its run.

My only complaint is that the Japanese cast simply just isn't as good as the English one. I don't know if they're using different VAs than from the game, but good lord, Teddie's voice is annoying.

I've enjoyed it, but not only is the pace absurdly fast so far, but there's quite a few QUALITY moments too. Moreso than most.

That said, they've done a decent job of emulating Soejima's style though.

Go ahead and crucify me, but I cannot stand subs aside from a few rare occasions. Especially in P4 where the English voice actors were goddamn amazing. But hey, I can't complain too much. More Chie in my life I guess.

I'm still playing Persona 4, so I plan to play through that, catch up on the anime, then by the time that's done with, it should be just in time to buy it on the Vita.

;_;

Meh, if there's nothing new to the story, then there's no real reason to watch it.

I guess its nice for the people who were unable to finish the game for whatever reasons (sucking, impatience, etc.).

I'm interested in seeing it, but I'll wait until it's dubbed. The english VA's were so damn good, no one can replace them for me!

I found it browsing through HuluPlus on my xbox, but they only have one episode posted at the moment. I watched it and liked it, and I'm just waiting for the rest...

I haven't played Persona 4, but I'm playing P3P on my PSP right now, and I've always liked the art style of the series.

Only available in the US?! Huzzah!

I'd sooner wait for it to be dubbed, anyway. I'd rather hear it voiced by the actors I fell in love with when I played it.

@WannabeSpiderMan

Only one episode has been shown in Japan, they're going up the same day as they air over there I believe.

If you're Europe the series is being streamed through Anime News Network's streaming service. So no need to torrent there.

The anime was ok. There weren't may parts that really wowed me or anything but its just the first episode so it'll probably pick up. It seems like they were just following a sped up version of the games story which isn't bad but it made me really want to play the game again. Then again, maybe that's the point....
There were some nice touches though like when they show the weather sometimes between scenes, the fact that the music is the same and showing the characters eyes when they do a special move were all pretty neat. The end of the episode was cheesy as hell when he's just standing there like "heh, I did it, son!" lol

You fail as a diehard Persona fan for putting this out so late, shame on you Dale!

I saw it already, it was great, but rushed. I expected it to be rushed though, a lot goes on in the beginning of the game. I just hope they don't continue to rush it as time goes on.

Loved the game. I think the anime is a fair adaptation considering the time limit they have and it takes me back to 2008 when i was playing the game.

It was ok, I guess, but I don't want to judge it till I see how they will deal with SLinks, quests (Funky Student :D) and if the pacing will stay the same.

Just watched it, I prefer the english voice actors from the game. I mean most of them seem fine, it's more the Japanese whinny cadence that bugs me. Except Igor, that take just doesn't match up, he sounds more like a gremlin than a mysterious old man.
