PSA: Nubageddon has finally arrived! photo

Fear it, sinners! Nubageddon is finally upon us! Lock your doors and hide your women -- Nintendo's 3DS hardware add-on releases today at GameStops across the nation to coincide with Resident Evil Revelations.

Keep in mind that in addition to supporting Revelations, the pad is slated to work in the future with Monster Hunter 3G, Metal Gear Solid 3D, Ace Combat 3D, Dynasty Warriors VS, and Kingdom Hearts 3D (as well as lefty support for Kid Icarus: Uprising). I've had the opportunity to test the pad with Revelations, and I think it works great. There are two extra shoulder buttons that allow quicker access to inventory items, the extra stick works fine, and the game instantly picks up on the Circle Pad itself.

While I wouldn't want to use it for every game on the system, busting out an optional add-on every now and then for blockbusters isn't a bad deal for $20. So there you have it ladies and gentlemen -- Prophet Holmes' predictions have seemingly come true. The world didn't end on February 7th, 2012.

Don't say that! There is still over 9 hours of the day left here, plenty of time for the end of all things to come!

Cthulhu could also call up any number of his homeboys to carpool with him.

I always imagine my end of the world scenarios happening at dawn, but I like your rendition better! At least then we get an extra day.

Do we really have to hide our women? They look nicer, smell nicer... Lets hide the men, get the stink out of the room! Anyway, since I think Revelations plays just fine single nub, and the only other CPP ready game I want is MGS3DS! And I just bought the MGS HD Collection, I don't think i'll need an extra nub anytime soon.

I really like it. It feels solid and comfortable in my hands..

It keeps on disconnecting though, everytime I close the 3DS. Have you had this issue as well, chris?

It feels like what I imagine a Wii U controller will feel like.

::shrug:: nubaggedon came early for me when MH3G came out..

It's okay i guess, just way too bulky to be truly portable.

Regardless hide yo' children, hide you wives, and hide yo' husbands because they be rapturing everyone out here.

Meh is all I have to say to the franken-Nub, from what I've played of RE:R so far it's great without it, and I don't plan on getting it for MGS either, so suck it capcom, and tracking down a copy of revelations was stupidly hard today, those 4GB 3DS cards must be made of gold.

tracking down a circle pad pro was hard too, most of them were reserved... some douche on amazon is asking $60 for one.

I've been using it all day while playing Resident Evil: Revelations and I have to say, I like it.

It feels solid, easy to hold, the circle pad and top triggers are responsive and, well, it works.

Can't wait to play more games that support it.

I think the reason that Nintendo didn't put it on the 3DS right out of the gate was because of the limitations of the screen size of the 3D screen.
Whenever they can cheaply mass produce those kinds of 3D screens at a certain size, I'm sure the next 3DS SKU will be XL sized with the nub built in and a longer battery life (since it has room for a larger battery)
