In case you missed it, we reported on a metric sh*t ton of 3DS release dates today. But you may have glossed over one pretty big detail -- Dillon's Rolling Western, the tower defense/action hybrid, is out right now on the 3DS eShop.
Dillon is a badass armadillo cowboy that prefers not to use guns -- instead, he (what else?) rolls his enemies into submission. In addition to featuring a bona-fide badass, the game also has the added benefit of being pretty fun. Along with the release of the PlayStation Vita, can I just declare Februrary 22nd "National Portable Day"?

Ever since the release of the eShop, I've played more digital games than actual 3DS retail releases.
Yeah the eShop has so many great titles going for it.
Couple that with the free Zelda: Four Swords and my 20 Ambassador games, and my 3DS is a powerhouse portable right now.
Here's hoping they can keep up the quality.

Amazing. Nintendo made this?? Amazing. I spent my first $10 on Sakura Samurai last week(well worth it) so now I need to get some more eShop funds asap!

I love Nintendo, and I knew about the Nintendo Direct, which was only announced yesterday.
And I slept through it.
Woke up at 9:30 scrambling all over to catch all the info from all 3 NDs.
So I do kind of see it as "quietly announced" myself. ^_^;
Take a look at the game before you judge it. It's not just tower defense.
