If you are eligible for 3DS ambassador status, your ten free Game Boy Advance games are now available to download via the "redownload" section of your eShop menu. Yet again, it's a process of finding the games in your queue of previously downloaded titles, and obtaining them one by one, but it's worth it this time!
[Edit: As pointed out in comments, you can now queue up the downloads by clicking on each item, hitting the "download" button, then hitting the "download later" button and confirming. Once queued, you set the 3DS to sleep mode on the Home menu and they download. Still fiddly, but not quite as lengthy.]
The North American games are confirmed to be the same as those in Europe and Japan, meaning that titles like The Minish Cap, Wario Land 4, Fire Emblem and Kirby and the Amazing Mirror are on offer. Yet again, I am highly impressed that Nintendo put some high quality games out there, and didn't rely on obscure crap.
Nintendo, you done good, son!

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Yeah, but you have to do that with any download thing (xbla psn steam etc.)
Its still a much easier option than selecting one, downloading now, waiting for it to finish, and start all over again.
Everytime I start it my net gets super slow (D-toid loads slower then it usually does) and the download itself craps out after around the same amount of time telling me to check back later for it.
I'm going to guess that Minish Cap (A zelda lots likely missed out on) Is probably the most popular download and getting thoroughly hammered.
(*not an ambassador*)
Biggest problem = The games look like fucking shit. It looks like a sprite when it's badly enlarged.
Yeah, I figured too, but I just felt it was weird it slowed down my entire network trying to get it. Such is the power of Zelda I guess. Either way, if I get frustrated/confused enough to let people know they might get frustrated/confused, I call that a public service, lol.
Also, it was the very last game on my list, so it would have been my luck for that one to be the one that screwed up. December being what it usually is for me, I can't go without a tragedy.
@El Conrado
If you've ever gone into your download history after deleting a game you'd see a redownload button for the game you deleted, that's what we have to hit to receive our games. The way they registered it to ambassadors is like saying we've already bought the games and need to reacquire them.
Well, my guess is that's exactly what's happening.
The GBA's screen is 240×144 while the 3DS' is 400×240 (per eye)
It looks blurry because it can't match the screen density 4 to 1.
So, the Download Later option doesn't exist in the Download History?
Weird.
Has anyone tried to hold "Select" when loading a game, and see if it does the "Pixel-Perfect with Canvas" thing that GameBoy and GameBoy Color games do?
Awesome!
(*silently wishes he had ponied up the $250...*)
Yeah I've missed it because I've been sleepy eye'd pressing touch screens on 2 3DS' since I woke up (mine and my roommates).. Sorry I missed that. (I also shouldn't have drank so much last night, ugh)
