The early word for new tech products these days comes directly from the people making them. All of those Mac product leaks from China and Taiwan actually pan out. No one can keep a secret.

The latest group not able to keep a secret are Taiwan-based component makers. They claim that production of Sony's next game console will begin later this year. According to Digitimes, these component makers say that  the PlayStation 4 (PS4) will feature body movement control like Microsoft's Kinect, and that it will be released in 2012.

Foxconn and Pegatron Technology, makers of the PS3, will also be working on the PS4. The planned shipment volume of PS4 in 2012 is at least 20 million units, these sources said.

Good timing. Devs are tired of the current consoles, my PS3's hard drive is full, and that big cooling fan in the bottom of the unit is getting loud. Sony, if it's not too late, let's ditch the gloss covering and Spiderman movie font. I don't really want the motion control either, but I'm sure you're set on that one.
